Greetings to all.
I was wondering with the recent events in Japan….I have had friends approach me who are non Christians who are asking questions on what the bible says about these things….also I have heard through other friends who do believe…. that the holy spirit will be removed….though not from TRUE believers….any opinions here?

Its just something I heard though I don't know how much truth there is in it….that the Holy Spirit will be removed from the Earth in the Last Days….I need to find out more about this though….and was wondering if anyone here knows anything at all about this?

They could be talking about the rapture…. but Matthew 24 is definitely taking place…. the Holy Spirit can be grieved and quenched…. and it will be as it was before the flood came and took them all away.
Any thoughts on this?

We are in the Last Days….This is what we should be talking about…. it effects the Whole World….and it will only get worse….We need to pray for the World!
I don't quite follow what you are saying here Ed, I apologise.
All through the New Testament is what will happen in the Last Days….the early Apostles believed they were in the Last Days themselves….but as Christ said….no one knows the Day or the Hour….Only our Father in Heaven.

In the context of the last 2000 years, against millions of years of history, it would relitively be the last hour. Now, as you say, with the pains of labor coming closer and closer together, and the moral freefall we are witnessing, it would stand to reason that this is the last seconds, relatively speaking. You are correct. What the rapture entails is a mystery Ed, I do not agree with your opinion on this. Jesus said ” Two will be grinding meal, one will be taken, the other left” Where lord? and he said “where the carcass lies, the vultures will gather”. Ed you can't say definitely either way about the rapture, and what it involves imo, but, it doesn't matter, because after whatever is going to happen-happens, and it could be any day, you will know for sure, and until that happens you don't, imo.Peace-Mark
Also what about the sky being rolled up like a scroll? The mountains and Islands disappearing? The elements being melted by fire and how everything is to be distroyed in this way. Isaiahs apocolypse says the earth will be completely destroyed. with all these prophecies, how do you get that the world will not end?

“See, I make everything new” The non-ending Kingdom is after the world is re-created. This one is almost past the point of no return anyway. I can't even eat fish out of the Mississippi anymore. Compare 2Peter 3:12 with Col:2:8 and Col:2:20.

yet the inward man is renewed day by day.[καινός] is also used in Rom.6:4 and Rom.7:6 as well…
